ENGEL at the CHINAPLAS
Innovative and economical injection moulding system solutions have made ENGEL the global market leader in this sector. ENGEL will once again be proving its system competence at the CHINAPLAS in Shanghai/China from the 17th to 20th April 2008 (Hall W1 / Booth W1D31). In addition to presenting one of the fastest In-Mould-Labelling systems on the market on a speed 180/55, ENGEL will also be displaying an e-motion 310/180 T with a 256-cavity LIM mould from Elmet. ENGEL HL-Award 2007
On 25 October, the 2007 ENGEL HL Awards were presented within the framework of the K 2007 in Düsseldorf. Companies that use ENGEL injection moulding machines with tie bar-less clamping units and that apply the concept in an especially innovative and economic manner were honoured. Gold, silver and bronze went to Hirtenberger Automotive Safety AG in Hirtenberg (Austria), ZKW Slovakia s.r.o. in Krusovce (Slovakia) and plastic concept GmbH in Neusalza-Spremberg (Germany).

ENGEL strengthen market appearance in Brasil

Dolphin Process: Serial Production as of 2010
The patented Dolphin Process, which was introduced at the Schwertberg, Austria-based injection moulding machine manufacturer's Spring Symposium 2006 is approaching maturity for serial production. Dolphin was demonstrated to the experts by automotive supplier Johnson Controls at this year’s IAA in Frankfurt, Germany, within the scope of a feasibility study.

ENGEL Subsidiary Opens New Facility in Poland
Schwertberg / Austria, September 2007 – ENGEL inaugurated its new Sales and Service Centre in Warsaw 11 September 2007. The new facility will help ENGEL to offer its customers in Poland faster project planning and application technology consultancy, as well as comprehensive service. 200 Polish customers and partners, the owning family and Engel's executive board all took part in the inauguration ceremony.

ENGEL at K 2007 - Injection Moulding of Packaging with Improved Clamping Forces
Iinjection moulding machine manufacturer ENGEL will be demonstrating newly dimensioned ENGEL speed high-performance machines for injection moulding of plastic packaging at K 2007. One new addition to the product range is the ENGEL speed 500 with a clamping force of 5,000 kN which will be demonstrating the production of a 1 litre container using a 4+4 cavity stack mould. The fastest IML system on the market, a model with a clamping force of 1,800 kN will be producing decorated, round cups with an original product seal.

ENGEL at K 2007 - GMP-Qualified Injection Moulding of Medical Products
Injection moulding machine manufacturer ENGEL will be presenting a turnkey solution for the production of medical technology components and medical mass products at the K 2007. The fully electric ENGEL e-victory injection moulding machine is GMP-qualified for use in clean rooms. The ma-chine with a clamping force of 500 KN produces micro-fluid test elements, under strictest clean room conditions; these "labs on a chip" (LOC) are sealed in plastic bags in the clean room.

Handover of the 70,000th ENGEL machine
ENGEL AUSTRIA GmbH has been manufacturing injection moulding machines for about 50 years. The company has since become one of the world's largest manufacturers in this sector. An important milestone has now been achieved with the delivery of the machine bearing the production No. 70,000. It was an ENGEL victory 4550/600 tech which was handed over to representatives of Rosti Technical Plastics UK Ltd. in St. Valentin recently.

A very special anniversary provided the perfect backdrop to underline this success story: the delivery of the 2000th ENGEL duo machine to the BMW Landshut plant. With 150 million Euro, the three ENGEL Deutschland sites have booked their highest turnover of all ages. This actually means an increase of 70% over a period of five years. The market share is approx. 20 percent. In addition to the general market trend towards system suppliers, the three managing directors Ralf Christofori (Nürnberg), Rolf Saß (Hagen) and Christopher Vitz (Hannover) see the specific reasons for success in the increasing concentration on customer-specific and demanding solutions in application technology.

In order to strengthen the market performance of ENGEL in Turkey, ENGEL established a sales subsidiary in Istanbul on 1 May 2008, thus taking into account the tremendous potential of the Turkish market. ENGEL wins Go International Award 2008
ENGEL Austria received the Go International Award as part of the Austrian Export Day on 24th April 2008 in Vienna. With this award, the jury honours internationally active companies that set an example for other companies through their internationalisation strategy. The award was issued by the Außenwirtschaft Österreich (AWO) and presented to the ENGEL representatives by the Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Martin Bartenstein and the president of the Economic Chamber Dr. Christoph Leitl.

The World’s Biggest Injection Moulding Machine by ENGEL
Plastics processors GRAF from Teningen recently commissioned a two platen ENGEL machine with a clamping force of 55,000 kN and three injection units for the production of underground tanks and logistics containers. ENGEL has broken all previous records with this development. The duo 5500 not only supports shot weights of up to 140 kg with its three injection units, but is also very economical with its extremely low energy consumption.
